Question

What newspapers does the Library have?

Print Newspapers

The Library subscribes to local and national print newspapers, and recent issues are shelved in Current Periodicals on the 2nd floor. Current print newspaper subscriptions include:

  • The Arkansas Democrat Gazette,
  • The Log Cabin Democrat,
  • The New York Times, and
  • UCA's The Echo.

Online Newspapers

The Library subscribes to databases that include newspaper articles, accessible through the Library's A to Z Databases list.

Historical Newspapers

The Library also maintains a collection of historical newspapers on microfilm, located on the 2nd floor next to Current Periodicals. Historical newspaper articles may qualify as primary sources.

Finding Newspapers

The Newspapers LibGuide lists newspaper titles in the Library collection as well as formats, coverage dates, and access options. Please note that this list does not include all of the online newspapers in the Library collection. To find a specific newspaper title online, search for the title in Publication Finder. You can also search for titles or the keyword "newspaper" in Discovery, using the search box on the Library home page.
