Question

How long does it take to receive materials requested through interlibrary loan?

The average time it takes for requested materials to arrive is:

  • Articles: 2-4 days
  • Books: 7-12 days

It can sometimes take longer due to item availability, shipping, and the location of the lending library. If you’d like a status update on your request, please email the ILL Office at ill@uca.edu.

We send out requests to a list of lending libraries, starting with those that have indicated the fastest response time. Requests submitted through our library website take full advantage of the system’s capabilities, and may be received faster than manual requests. We would advise that you seek UCA Library assistance in locating UCA Library or local resources while you are waiting for your ILL item.
