With most interlibrary loan requests, there is no cost to you.
When is there a cost?
There are two situations in which you may be asked to pay a fee:
- When requested materials are only available from a lender who charges a fee; before the request is completed, you will have the opportunity to cancel the request or agree to pay the fee.
- When an ILL item is lost or damaged while in your possession.
What do fees generally cost?
Lending fees are generally between $15-$40. Lost and damaged fees are dependent on the item and are also set by the lending library.
How can I pay the fee?
Fees can be paid by exact cash, BearBucks, check, or money order.
