Borrowing

Your library account is a secure, password-protected site that you can use to access both UCA Library and interlibrary loan (ILL) items in one convenient location. Account access instructions are below. 

What can I see and do in my library account's "tabs"?

Checkouts

• View all checked-out UCA Library and interlibrary loan items, such as books or DVDs
• View due dates
• Submit renewal requests for loaned UCA Library items

Requests

• Click CREATE REQUEST to request ILL items and scanning of UCA Library resources
• Check the status of active ILL or Hold requests
• View and download requested articles (access expires after 30 days)
• View ILL request history 
• Submit renewal requests for loaned ILL items
• Duplicate and re-submit ILL requests
• Cancel ILL or Hold requests

Please Note: ILL items are indicated by Request Details link that allows you to view the complete information, such as ILL Office notes and links to articles/books.

Fees

• View any fees on your account for the cost of replacing a book that you have not returned. Fees are waived if the book is returned. 

Search activity

• View saved searches. 
• Rerun a saved search by clicking on the search name.
• Create and manage search alerts. Search alerts are email notifications of any new items added to your search. You control the frequency and duration of these alerts. 
• Delete saved searches and search alerts. 

Borrowing history

• View your borrowing history of UCA Library items. 

Please note: You must opt-in to have your borrowing history saved. History is from when you opted in for up to three years. The borrowing history can only be accessed by you and is unavailable to library staff. See the Profile tab to opt in or out at any time. 

Profile

• View contact information and enable borrowing history. 

How do I access my library account?

• Use one of the links found on the pages listed below and log in using your myUCA username and password:
  • Library homepage
  • Interlibrary Loan website
  • Discovery search tool 

Please Note: Student accounts are accessible only while actively enrolled and expire between semesters, whereas faculty and staff accounts are available at any time.
